Terms & Conditions
  1. The rates and /or Government rent payer's name and correspondence address are used for serving the demands for rates and/or Government rent issued by the department.
  2. The new and previous owners are advised to settle the rates and/or Government rent outstanding up to the end of the quarter at the time of property conveyance.
  3. If the payer's particulars provided are in Chinese, you may opt to receive the quarterly demand printed in Chinese only or in Bilingual (Chinese/English).
  4. For attention of payers using Autopay arrangement: If you make a change in the Registered Payer's name shown on the demand, the previous autopay authorization will be invalidated. Payment of rates or Government rent will henceforth have to be made by another method until and unless a new autopay authorization has been processed.
  5. Personal Information Collection Statement
    1. The information provided by you will be used for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of the Rating Ordinance and the Government Rent (Assessment and Collection) Ordinance.
    2. Apart from the purposes stated above, personal information will not be transferred to any other parties, unless such parties are authorized by law and request the information.
    3. Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, you have a right to request access to and correction of your personal data. Such requests may be made in writing to the Department's Customer Services Officer at 15/F Cheung Sha Wan Government Offices, 303 Cheung Sha Wan Road, Kowloon, or by e-mail to 'enquiries@rvd.gov.hk'.

    Your application will be processed within 10 working days.
